How to remit money from India to Nepal

This is not a new and I hope many of you know this process. However, we hear lot of difficulties to transfer (to remit) the migrants income. I think there is a need to share this news. (It may be helpful to our fellow brother)

We must thank Indian government for allowing to transfer funds from India to Nepal, enabled under NEFT scheme. In fact, the scheme was launched to provide a safe and easy to migrants Nepali workers to remit money to their families back in Nepal. A maximum permissible amount Rs. 50000 (IC) can be transferred from any of the NEFT enabled branches from India. Migrants can either deposit money directly to beneficiary
s accounts (In case they have account in Nepal State bank of India/Everest bank of Nepal), or if the beneficiary does not have account in Nepal, the bank branch would make an arrangements to credit to the beneficiary through the authorized money transfer company - Prabhu Money Transfer, who would make an arrangements for delivery of cash (NRS). If the remitting customer maintains an account with a bank branch in India, he/she does not need any ID proof during the process of remittance, or else he/she has to submit documents for proof of identification (Passport/Pan card/Telephone Bill/Driving license). The charge for availing the remittance facility is minimum. Therefore, please share this fellow Nepalese that they do not carry the cash while travelling to Nepal.

As per my knowledge, the maximum 12 remittances are allowed in year. ( 1remittance/ per month)
